Adding your material

Anything you bring becomes part of the brief. The agent can put your screenshots on screen, animate your logo, read your documents for facts, cut your footage, and transcribe your recordings.

#Files in the composer

Add files with your message in any of three ways:

• Press + (Add files) and pick them.
• Drag them onto the composer.
• Paste them, including screenshots straight from the clipboard.

Any format is accepted: images, PDFs, slides, spreadsheets, text, audio and video. There's no limit on how many files you attach, how big they are, or how much you store. Attached files show as chips above your message; click one to preview it, or remove it before you send. Wait for uploads to finish before sending; if one fails, remove it and drop it in again.

#The Assets panel

Every file in a project, yours and the agent's, lives in Assets. Open it with the library button next to + under the composer.

• Tabs sort files by kind: Uploads, Motion, Images, Video, Voice, Sound FX, Music, and Other when there's something that doesn't fit.
• Add files in the Uploads tab: press Upload or drop files onto it. Right-click empty space for New folder.
• Use a file: drag it onto the timeline, type @ in the composer to point at it, or right-click it and choose Reference in chat. Double-click to open it.
• Files already in the film show an On timeline badge.
• Right-click a file to Rename or Delete it. Right-click empty space for Clear unused assets, which deletes files in that tab that aren't on the timeline.

#Recordings and footage

Drop in a talk, an interview, a podcast, a screen recording or phone footage and ask for what you want:

• "Cut my talk into highlights, with captions."
• "Cut this podcast episode into three short clips."
• "Turn my travel photos into a vlog."

The agent transcribes speech so it can cut on words, and places your footage on the timeline where you can trim and move it like any other clip.

#Links

Paste a link into your message. AnimSpark's agent can read web pages (what it can do on the web depends on the model) and search the web for what the film needs, and it shows Reading a page or Searching the web in the chat when it does. It uses links for facts, copy and references.

#Folders

• In the Mac app, open any folder as a project with Open folder… in Projects (or ⌘O). Everything in it is available to the film, and nothing is uploaded. See The Mac app.
• With a coding agent connected to the Mac app, point it at any folder on your Mac: "make a film from the notes and screenshots in ~/Desktop/launch". It reads local files and folders with its own tools. See Drive AnimSpark from your coding agent.

#Tell it what each file is for

The agent decides how to use what you give it. If it matters, say so: "use the logo in the last scene", "the numbers are in the spreadsheet, the design is in the PDF", "only use the first two minutes of the recording".
