Versions and history
Undo your own edits, step back through this session's edit history, and save versions of the film you can restore at any time.
AnimSpark keeps three kinds of history, from the smallest step to the biggest.
| What it covers | Where | |
|---|---|---|
| Undo / redo | Your own edits in this session | ⌘Z / ⌘ShiftZ, or the arrows on the timeline's toolbar |
| Edit history | A list of this session's edits, yours and the agent's | The Edit history button on the timeline's toolbar |
| Version history | Versions you saved, kept with the project | The Version history button at the top right |
Undo and redo
⌘Z undoes your last hand edit (a move, a resize, a style or text change, a trim, a split) and ⌘ShiftZ redoes it.
Undo covers only what you did by hand. It's paused while the agent is working, and it can't reach back past a round of the agent's changes. To go back further, restore a saved version.
Edit history
Edit history lists this session's edits in order, each marked as yours or the agent's: Move / trim, Transform, Style, Volume, Split, Paste, Delete, Add asset, Edit text, Track order, Track toggle, Edit, Agent made a pass. Click one of your edits since the agent's last pass to roll back to that point; earlier ones are greyed out. The row ⌘Z would undo next is tagged ⌘Z.
This list isn't saved: it clears when you leave the project.
Version history
Save a version whenever the film is somewhere you might want to come back to.
Open Version history
Click the Version history button at the top right of the project.
Save the current version
Type a name if you like (it's optional) and press Save current version.
Restore it later
Open Version history and click a version to restore it. The current one is marked Current.
Each version shows who made it (You, Agent or System), what kind of change it was, and when. Its star (Remove from favorites) takes it off the list.
You can't save or restore while the agent is working; wait for the run to finish.
