Plans and credits

Every plan uses the same credits, charged for what each run actually uses. Here's what the plans include, how credits are spent, and where to see them.

For current prices and the full comparison, see Pricing.

Paying yearly saves up to 20%; credits still arrive every month. The web app, the Mac app and connected coding agents all use the same account and credits.

How credits are spent

Credits pay for what a run actually uses, with no minimum per film:

  • The model's work: planning, writing and checking the film. Bigger models and higher effort use more.
  • Media: narration, music, sound effects, generated and searched images, transcription, and video clips.

Exports don't use credits: they render on your own computer.

Stopping and running out

  • Stop a run and you're charged only for what it already used.
  • Run out of credits and the run stops at its last checkpoint; you're charged for what was used. Move up to a bigger plan, then press Resume to pick up where it left off.
  • A run needs a small amount of credit to start. If your balance can't cover it, AnimSpark tells you before anything begins.

Coding agents

When Codex or Claude Code works in the composer, or a connected coding agent works from its own window, its thinking runs on its own plan. Only the media it asks AnimSpark for (narration, sound, music, images, video) spends your credits. Connected agents have a credit allowance per session and ask you before going over it. See Drive AnimSpark from your coding agent.

Rollover

  • Monthly credits you don't use roll over for one more month. New spending uses the credits that expire soonest first.
  • The 200 sign-up credits don't expire.
  • Cancelling doesn't wipe your balance: the credits you hold stay spendable through their normal rollover.

Changing your plan

  • Upgrade from Upgrade in the main menu, or from Settings → Subscription. An upgrade takes effect right away at the full price of the new plan and starts a new billing cycle. Your credits are kept.
  • Cancel from Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription. There are no further charges, and you keep full access until the end of the current period.

Where to see your credits

  • The main menu (your avatar at the top left) shows the credits you have left.
  • Settings → Billing (Usage & billing) shows your balance, credits about to expire and when, your recent charges and a list of what each generation cost.
  • Settings → Subscription shows what your plan includes.
